How it How Direct Billing Works at The Relationship Agency
Getting set up is simple. Here’s how it works:
Download and complete our Direct Billing Consent Form (available below). This gives us permission to submit claims to your insurance provider on your behalf.
Send us your completed form along with your insurance details (insurance company name, policy number, and group/plan number). You can email it to hello@therelationshipagency.com or bring it to your next session.
We’ll verify your coverage and confirm what your plan covers for therapy with a Registered Social Worker or Registered Psychotherapist.
After each session, we handle everything. We submit the claim through TELUS eClaims, your insurance pays us directly, and you only pay any remaining balance.
That’s it. No receipts to track, no claims to file, no waiting for reimbursement cheques in the mail.

Don’t see your insurance company listed? Contact us and we’ll check for you. The list of participating insurers is growing, and coverage depends on your specific plan. Even if direct billing isn’t available for your provider, we’ll still provide you with a detailed receipt you can submit for reimbursement.
What You Need to Know Before You Sign Up for Therapy Direct Billing
Check your coverage first. We can do this for you, or you can call your insurance company and ask: “Does my plan cover therapy with a Registered Social Worker or Registered Psychotherapist? What’s my annual limit? Is there a per-session cap?” This helps us plan your sessions so you’re never caught off guard. We can also do this for you before you even sign up for therapy!
Coverage amounts vary. Some plans cover 80% of each session, some cover 100%, and some have a per-session dollar cap. If your plan doesn’t cover the full session fee, you’re responsible for the remaining balance.
Direct billing works for in-person and virtual sessions. Whether you’re coming to our Ajax or Oshawa office or meeting your therapist online, we can bill your insurance the same way.
