Do you bill insurance?

We don't direct bill insurance, but can provide you with a receipt to submit to your insurance provider. Check to make sure your benefits cover mental health counseling/therapy with a MSW level Registered Social Worker or a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).

Is therapy in person or online?

Both! We offer virtual therapy via the Jane app as well as in person sessions at our offices in Ajax (62 Harwood Ave South) and Oshawa (71 Albert Street).

Do you do individual therapy?

Yes! We offer individual therapy. We have a team of specialists in anxiety and burnout, grief, caregiving, racial trauma, life transitions, and ADHD.

What types of therapy do you practice?

Our therapists are trained and certified in a variety of methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method, and the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT). We are committed to anti-oppressive and anti-racist practices.

What types of couples do you work with?

We warmly welcome all expressions of gender and sexuality. Our best-fit couples tend to be young or young at heart, working professionals, parents to young children, interracial partnerships, and couples where one or both partners has ADHD. We may refer out for active addiction, violence, or serious pathology.

What type of couples therapy do you practice?

Our primary method is PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy). It focuses on attachment, arousal, and regulation. PACT therapists are encouraged to experiment and not have couples take themselves too seriously.

What happens in a couples therapy session?

We work as co-investigators to explore and test ways of interacting as a couple that will strengthen your bond. There is no blaming or finger pointing. We figure out patterns that are stopping you from getting what you want and work in real time to practice new techniques.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 48 hours notice to cancel or change an appointment, or you will be required to pay the full fee for the missed appointment.
